Do you ever find yourself wondering,
When did we decide who gets to make up these social, relational rules. And why did I not get the memo?
Or what about feeling lost in a crowd?
Do you ever find yourself thinking…
The people I surround myself with do not truly know me. And, if they did, I am positive they wouldn’t like me.
You are not alone. I would venture to say, all people have experienced this at one point or another in their lives, and if they have yet to.. they will. We live in a world that emphasizes connection, but has the power to leave us feeling isolated , disconnected and alone.
We live in a world that highlights the exciting points of our friends lives and gives us 24/7 access to those moments. This continual access leaves those who indulge in it, with a deep sense of lack.
I have a passion for people. I have a passion to see people come in to who they are made to be. To see people come to the realization that we are all doing this life thing together, and no one of us is exempt from experiencing loss, rejection , hurt, pain, excitement , joy. love and happiness.
You may find yourself in a season where the thought of experiencing such joys of life seem hopeless and ridiculous. But you can. I know you can. One of the best ways to wade through these experiences is to reach out to a trusted professional who will meet you in a caring, non judgmental way. Reach out if you need to talk. I would be honored to walk with you through this season. But if it’s not me, that is okay too.
Just reach out to someone who you trust and who will honor where you are and see you through to the other side.
Be encouraged,
Rachael
