Have you ever had moments in life where you are thinking to yourself.. I really would like this moment to last forever? For me .. some of those moments include holding a baby, drinking coffee. moments of new revelation.. new-found sense of happiness. fresh , clean smells, the smell of trees outside in nature. Funny Jokes… oh gosh.. I am one of those people who laugh for hours after jokes “aren’t even funny anymore.” also.. they are.. obviously or I wouldn’t be laughing . SO deal.
Pause for a second and notice .. all of the things listed were … or could be labeled as positive.
Seriously, I think if we are all honest.. we aren’t looking to savor moments of loss, to really take in the feelings and understanding of how uncomfortable or awkward a situation just made us feel. Well, maybe I do enjoy awkward situations.. but as long as it is awkward for the other person..
Anyways.
I’ve been earning about being neutral to all situations, feelings and moments. The thing is, whether they are viewed as positive, negative, make us feel happy, sad , uncomfortable, angry, annoyed , excited .. anything..
All Moments Pass.
Literally, we can never experience the same moment again. They may be similar, but they are not the same. Think about it.
You can never take the first drink of the same cup of coffee twice. You can never take the first bite of the sweet treat you are eating twice. You can never write the same blog twice. Even more, you can never write the first word on the same blog twice. All moments are irreplaceable . All moments are important because it is the only moment you will have. The action can be duplicated , but it is never the same.
So, Pause today in each moment and practice gratitude and thankfulness for what you are given .. because it truly is a gift.
Be encouraged,
Rachael
