Can we skip the sap and you just tell me what to do?
I figured out early in life that I liked it better when I skipped all the feely things and just pushed all that stuff down and stiff armed everything and everyone through life. Yeah… I may have liked it better, but my relationships .. my connectedness sucked.
The hard part about some things in life is that we hurt. Even more, in order to heal, we have to endure pain.
Eww. gross.
Its not fun. But its necessary. Think about it, a bruise , a cut, a wound is most tender right before it is healed.
Honest engine, this topic is hard for me because i still get tense, feel icky.. like something is wrong when I am vulnerable with people.
But thats a part of life. Its the experience. Im not saying its awesome. Im not saying it sucks. Im just saying .. its part of life, and the more we resist it , the more painful it is.
What are you resisting.
I challenge you to put yourself out there with safe people. You’re worth it. The experience is worth it. Even if it doesn’t feel like it.
Be encouraged.
